Chairman's Reports, AKC Board Of Directors Meeting Minutes, Commentary

Although there were intended leaks about the American Kennel Club's Board Business, AKC did not publish reports until TheDogPlace began making Board news available to the fancy in 1999. TheDogPress also felt AKC Board news should be available to all, at no cost. We salute the AKC for mirroring the service previously provided only by TheDogPlace, TheDogPress, and a half dozen AKC "watchdog" or Delegate-related sites.

Published Minutes may seem scant on detail but AKC is following established protocol. For example: If a suspension is discussed but the accused is found innocent, that person's name should not have been publicly tarnished.

Historical and research data is available through Insider Access which is the only such resource. Period. A treasure chest of history, mystery, and reference, the data collection is unique. One example is the Director Salaries and how they relate to AKC's reported loss of revenue and justification for constantly raising fees.
