Although there were carefully planted leaks regarding Board Business, often prior to the actual meetings, AKC did not disseminate reports nor allow access to Delegate Meetings until TheDogPlace.org began making it available to the fancy.  TDP felt AKC Board news should be available to all, at no cost, and now, so does AKC.   Progress!  We salute the AKC for mirroring our service to the benefit of all in the sport. 

Published Minutes are scant on detail but AKC is following established protocol.  For example: If a suspension is discussed but the accused is found innocent, that person's name should not be forever tarnished in the Minutes.

For historical data, Registered Users will have access to Archives.   Instituted in 1999, Archives were and remain the only such resource.  Period.  A treasure chest of history, mystery, and reference, the data collection is unique.

December 2007 Perhaps not much going on at end of year.... Chairman's report again is little more than a recap of November's recap of what AKC has done for dogs, beginning with implied credit for "in defeating the proposed mandatory spay and neuter bill in California" which everyone from Maine to Calif knows is right back on the table as was predicted. 

November 2007 Chairman's Report recaps what AKC has done to advocate for purebred owners, formation of Canine Legislation Dept. in 1990 and establishment of Support Fund and hiring of lobbyist to “combat AB 1634.”  Describes the AKC Humane Fund and progress on the Political Action Committee (PAC).
