Who Polices The AKC?

I do not profess to know the answer, I suspect it is the delegates... put in place lo many years ago to have representation just as in our government. Since the AKC is a club of clubs - if you show dogs but do not belong to a club, then you have no voice. If you belong to a club who has no delegate, you have no voice. And NOW the AKC has decided to NOT allow the delegates a voice!

This calls for a BOSTON TEA PARTY in New York. DELEGATES UNITE!!! You are our LAST STAND between the fancy and the many arms of AKC. 

At the very least the DELEGATES should DEMAND a change of leadership.

I personally think the AKC should be split up!
I personally think the AKC should have their non-profit status revoked.
I personally think that there should be separate arms in the AKC, with input allowed from the people who give..YES GIVE them our money to operate!!!

The AKC has grown too big for its britches and should be slapped back down to size.... They seem to have forgotten what their primary goal is, and they are not protecting the primary goal on which they were founded.

WE... you and I are the AKC.... We..you and I.. need to police our own club!!!

The AKC is NOT policing itself, nor is it policing the fancy.  Someone has to step up and take control of the reins to stop this run-away horse.

Here we have a body that has rules and regulations in place but the Board has time after time stepped away from its own rules and not followed through because somebody's FRIEND might get hurt. Dog abusers have gone unpunished, people who sign papers without co-owner’s knowledge have been absolved of wrong doing.

What is it coming to at AKC?  We have oversized, dyed, surgically enhanced dogs winning every day in rings all across the land, and all my AKC titles are becoming a joke!   I don't even display them any more!!! My ribbons mean so much to me that they have become book marks and coasters!!!  Most of them I throw away like so much clutter that they are...  I am sick and disgusted to be a part of AKC .. I got out of my all breed club 2 years ago because I was so burned out.  Now I am thinking of giving up my specialty club, and I am a founding member of that, because of the PAWS debacle. 

If PAWS passes without safe guards to the show/hobby breeders across America I will walk, and I will ask all my friends to walk with me.  I may walk right to the steps of the AKC building and ask thousands of you to walk with me and deposit all of my remaining ribbons and Ch. Title certificates in their trash because that is what it is ... TRASH.. meaningless.... nothing.....

UKC can use good people like us.... And the AKC better wake up because a grass roots effort is going to blow up in their faces....
