AKC Director Interferes on Parent Club Ballot; Protecting Breed Development; 1/29/08

Chihuahua Club Of America Membership receives lengthy letter from AKC Board Member / CHF Director Steven Gladstone telling them to vote against Chihuahua Breed Standard revision to disqualify merle colored dogs from AKC shows.  This, just before ballots were scheduled to be mailed.

You'll have to go to the Front Page for another headline story as info comes in later today or tomorrow.  The Ohio/Tellings case is headed for the Supreme Court.  Details and Amicus Brief pending but it has been characterized as the "Roe vs Wade" case, one which could hugely impact the AR movement.  A retired lawyer with the AKC Shoreline Kennel Club is trying to gain support with AKC Kennel Clubs and is quoted as saying this is the "biggest case in canine history."  More in next edition as according to ACF, the Tellings case will go before the Justices on Feb. 4th for a conference.
