- Purebred dog exhibitors are
invited to enjoy one of the most diverse dog events in the country,
featuring dog and owner teams from across the country competing in dog
shows, agility, protection and obedience trials, weight pull
competitions and terrier races, during this year’s UKC Premier™ Dog
Show, sponsored by Nestle Purina, at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center &
Fairgrounds of Kalamazoo, Michigan, June 12-14, 2009.
This is open to UKC registered dogs and is a pre-entry only event with a
deadline of May 15 at 4:30 p.m. EST. Entry fees are $25 first entry, $20
each additional entry, same day-same dog-same event-made at the same
time. Additional entries made at a later time will be charged first
entry fee. (No charge for Non-licensed classes and Junior Showmanship).

For spectators, doors will open Friday, June 12. 9:00am and action
continues until at least 4:00pm each day, with a great variety of dogs
scheduled to compete. Spectators can expect to see their favorite breeds
strut their stuff during the six Conformation Shows showcasing hundreds
of purebred dogs competing for an opportunity to be crowned Best in
Show.
UKC is proud to welcome the Classic K9’s to PREMIER™. The Classic K-9
Show is known internationally as the most memorable and enjoyable canine
arena show for audiences of all ages. The show is choreographed to music
and mixed with comedy and special effects. Massive live show experience
since 1989 produces the greatest show of its kind!
UKC is also pleased to welcome back former Detroit Tiger great Milt
Wilcox with his renowned Ultimate Air Dogs team (http://ultimateairdogs.net)
performing their high-flying dock jumping competitions throughout the
weekend. These gravity defying dogs continually push their performance
to new heights and are always a crowd favorite.
Spectator admission into this year’s UKC Premier™ Dog Show is only $5.00
per car per day into the fairgrounds ($10.00 weekend passes are also
available). Be sure to visit our website for a discount coupon.
Spectators are asked to not bring their dogs or pets to the event as
dogs not participating in the shows are not allowed into the
fairgrounds.
UKC Premier™ Dog Show is a family friendly, educational event that
allows spectators to get close to the action and interact with dogs and
owners. UKC encourages event spectators to approach owners and handlers
after the shows to meet the dogs and ask questions of the owners about
the characteristics and care of the different dog breeds.
