Born July 11th, 1944 in Long Beach
California, Borzoi breeder Bobbie Cheely departed this life Nov 3rd, 2010 in
Hutchinson, Kansas of liver disease.

Bobbie Jo Harrell Cheely of TUFF BORZOI is survived by her son Blake Cheely and wife Cindy
along with their 4 daughters, Anchorage, Alaska and her daughter
Marquette Beltz and husband Larry of Hutchinson.
She is also survived by her sister, Vickie Ann H. Haywood, Oakwood
Mini Poodles of Wagram NC, her aunt, Mary Victoria Carr of Houston
,Texas and nephew
Bandon Haywood of Gulf Breeze Florida, and
numerous aunts and uncles from her mother's side.
Bobbie Jo graduated from Blackstone High School Blackstone, VA in
1962 and was Miss Nottoway County that same year. She was a Betty
Crocker Award winner. She was employed and
retired from Quick Shops Corporate, a division of Kroger, where she
was a key punch bookkeeper.
She, together with former husband Ernie Cheely
of San Angelo, TX, (Warfield native) formed the dynamic breeding
operation of AKC show dogs, the Hounds of Cheely producing more than
30 Russian Wolfhound Champions including 2 multiple Best In Show
winners. They were well known around the Midwest and nationally for
their superb dogs.
Bobbie served in the Hutchinson Kennel Club in
many capacities and was an AKC delegate for many
years. The TUFF kennel name is highly respected in Borzoi of today
and will live in the history of the breed.
Bobbie was pre-deceased by her parents George and Hazel Harrell of
Blackstone Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later time in Virginia.
