Puppy Mills aka HVB

The Meeting that Wasn't! Everyone heard about AKC's scheduled 9/22/01 meeting with Hunte Corporation.  It was a public image blunder quietly lost in the tragedy of 9/11 as the machine grinds on non-stop.  This one meeting brushed off in the Delegates meeting.  By March 2006 we are repeatedly told why it is okay for AKC to have a Booth, flyers, and/or speakers at puppy mill meetings and auctions.  We've almost come to believe it!

Get ready to be shocked! Read Let's Support The Puppy Mills (by Gayle Roberson) Sure, why not?  AKC does.  The U.S. Treasury does.... an interesting look back at how the puppy mills can advertise on the AKC website.  One step at a time and it's done....

THE REINWALD REPORT reveals the truth about Puppy Mill Power in Missouri and the latest legislative muscle-flexing in her report  Shutterbugs Still Out In Missouri  The bill that forbids any photographs of the Hunte facility, that's how the legislature works in MO.

USDA Definition Of Animal Dealer  Excludes Puppy Millers.

How many of your Tax Dollars have been funneled off to Hunte Corp. and other puppy mills, brokers, and distributors???

Your tax $$ financed Hunte!!  Talk about outrage!  As reported by: congressman Dan Wadlington, a $900,000 rural development loan, approved by the USDA and announced by Southwest Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt, will allow expansion of Hunte's McDonald County " dog breeding industry" near Goodman, Missouri. This loan follows last year's USDA loan of $3.5 million.

The Hunte Corporation, which is in its 10th year of buying and selling quality puppies, was presented a plaque Friday by the USDA's Rural Development office in Neosho.

Andrew and Gina Hunte began with seven employees in a 5,000 square foot facility and now employ more than 140 in 32,000 square feet of facilities in three locations.

"This is truly a success story when the Hunte Corporation is celebrating 10 years of successful business," said Greg Branham, state director for USDA rural development. "Even more important are the employment opportunities for the many people in southwest Missouri and the Four State region. USDA is pleased to be a partner with Hometown Bank to help a local company provide jobs for residents.  Creating jobs like this provides opportunities for our children to stay in the area and work. Everyone benefits with this type of cooperation."

Hometown Bank of Carthage financed the Hunte Corporation's latest expansion with the loan being guaranteed by USDA Rural Development through its business and industry guaranteed loan program.

The company projects to buy and sell more than 65,000 puppies this year and 85,000 in 2002. The Hunte Corporation is recognized as the world's leading supplier of quality puppies.

Here's a quote from the USDA which should really make you think about payments to IRS.....   "In a recent complaint to USDA, the following response was given by USDA: "Our inspectors are stretched pretty thin with 65 inspectors nationwide and  almost 11,000 facilities to inspect each year."  At this ratio, each inspector would have to visit 169 facilities a year or 14 facilities a month.

Logical, Legal Weapon Against Pet Shops and Puppy Mills.  It was forwarded to us by AKC Judge Barbara Baxter Nielsen, it makes you think.  And it just might work.
