David Arthur, Aircastle Standard Poodles, learned journalism at an early age as the son of a newspaper man.  In college, Mr. Arthur studied writing, but primarily focused on the sciences, graduating from Boise State University with a degree in Environmental Health.  He presently works in the field of industrial safety, but enjoys writing in his free time. 

As a breeder, exhibitor, and UKC conformation judge, he is deeply involved in the sport of purebred dogs.  He and his wife, an AKC Rally-Obedience judge, are devoted to their "family" of dogs, cats, fish, and even a couple of horses.
