Ms. Jade

Quote "You don't really want to know what my desk looks like...but I clean up pretty well."

My friends call me Jade and I am the matriarch and supreme alpha bitch of Jades Dynasty Kennels, (ADBA/AADR) American Pit Bull Terriers ("Satisfy your craving for chocolate").

My adversaries have called me other things but in the immortal words of Ralph Greenwood, "if you're not p*****g someone off, you are not getting anything done".

I am currently owned by ten "four legged" children and they compete in conformation and weight pulling events around the United States.  I breed only DNA profiled, trophy winning champions that are under 50 lbs.  They are shamefully codependent life partners that enjoy both outside chain time and indoor sleep-in bedtime. (Not all at once, of course!)

American Pit Bull Terriers are not my whole life, but they make my life whole.  I also freelance as a writer and artist.  During the winter, I groom all breeds of dogs (and cats) for "snow birds" in the Arizona desert.  I was a charter member of the Southern California professional Groomers Assoc. two decades ago when it was only the Orange County Professional groomers Assoc. and I was a successful dog grooming competitor.
I volunteered at the Huntington Beach Humane Society, grooming pets to increase their chances of adoption on a local television show called The Pet Place.

I have helped to teach group obedience and agitated personal protection dogs for Don Goudreault of Best K-9 in the southern California area where I also worked as a veterinary assistant.

I was a guest speaker on the ethics of dog breeding at the 2003 American Dogs Breeders Assoc. National Convention in Las Vegas.  Currently, I am the Executive Director of Legislative Affairs for the All American Dog Registry and I oversee media relations for the Oklahoma Companion Animal Coalition.

Subjects of special interest to me are canine behavior and genetics.  Although my first dog was a mixed Beagle, I have had an exclusive relationship with APBT’s since my early twenties.

It was love at first sight.
