Air-Cleaner Health Risk: If you have indoor pets, you may also have one or more air cleaners to reduce pet hair. Obviously, you are a conscientious homemaker but air “cleaners” are often found to be contaminated with fungi. While they are great for removing dust particles, most air cleaners also disperse microscopic fungul spores into the room. Fungal contamination has also been associated with the high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters found inside air conditioners.

MSG Headaches In Dogs?: You know that stress is a headache trigger but one of most common causes is monosodium glutamate (MSG). Monosodium glutamate is in many pet foods, hidden under terminology such as hydrolyzed protein. That sounds like something good; pet owners know dogs and cats need protein. But wait, nature intends for carnivores to get protein from meat, not grain!

“Natural” ingredients, including “flavoring” is allowed but can be a deceptively dangerous practice for both people and pets. MSG is hidden behind words like “seasoning” and “flavoring” so check labels carefully because monosodium glutamate may be a Dog Food Ingredient!!
