America has changed from the 1800s when men wore big 6 shooters to today when we need a permit to own a little Kolibri pistol we keep hidden.

Thanks to subscriber Hank D. for giving us this current look at owning firearms. We know Hank as someone who takes care of himself and his family but he knows that some of us are still living in a world when bobby-sox and rock and roll was our parent’s worst worry…

In 2022 Americans don't carry a gun to kill people; we are thinking about owning a firearm to keep from being killed. People who carry a gun are not evil; they carry because they are smart enough to see the evil in the world.

Americans carry a gun because we’ve come to understand the limitations of our government and because police are so disrespected - by the very people who would harm us and our children.

We don’t carry guns because we want to shoot someone. On the contrary, in today’s ‘defund the police’ society we own a gun so that we never regret not being prepared.

Senior citizens don’t carry a gun because they plan to shoot someone; they just want to die of old age and not on a sidewalk tomorrow afternoon.

Men don't carry a gun to feel tough, they are armed citizens who know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

Women don’t carry a gun because we feel inadequate; we carry a gun because unarmed and facing three thugs, we ARE inadequate.

Few people carry a gun because they love it; they carry a gun because they love life and living in it and for the people around them that don’t carry and aren't protected.

In this time in American history, Police protection may not exist in your neighborhood or business location. Think about this: police do not protect you from crime; they just come after something has happened. They investigate the crime and then call someone in to clean up the mess..
