In 2025, COVID-19, AKA ‘the Wuhan flu’ is still killing Americans and we are still dependent on China and India for 80% of our pharmaceutical ingredients!

If that astounds you (!!!) look it up. Are our leaders compromised, incredibly stupid, or both??? Read these simple facts and you decide.

The first coronaviruses were noted in 1960 and named in 1968 by virologists June Almeida and David Tyrrell due to the crown-like shape of projections on the surface of the virus.

At that time, the flu outbreak in Wuhan China was commonly called "Wuhan pneumonia” or “Chinese virus” but American medical professionals noted that under electron microscope, the spike proteins on the virus's surface gave it the appearance of a corona which is like the crown-like image of glowing plasma around the sun.

So, after some debate, the more definitive "Coronavirus" name was accepted by the International Committee in 1971 but the virus was still called the “Chinese Flu.” You’d think it would have generated some news but perhaps at that time they did not suspect it would become one of the deadliest diseases in our history!

Or one might presume the lack of detailed information on Covid-19 vaccine was politicized or that hindsight is known for being a common condition but for you, here is carefully collected information.

The United States imports an average of 66% of our finished medicines including prescription drugs. Great minds have debated the safety of that protocol but let’s move on to other facts that raise questions about the efficacy and background of things you need to know.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus called SARS-CoV-2. Though initially discovered in Wuhan, China it entered North America in 2019 and within a year became “Covid-19” and had spread from coast to coast.

In January 2020 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) alerted our nation of the outbreak and the WHO (World Health Organization) declared COVID-19 a pandemic.

By September 2025 the “United States had confirmed 1,226,890 COVID deaths”, the most of any country and “the 17th highest per capita worldwide.”

Said another way… “The COVID-19 pandemic ranks as the deadliest disaster in America’s medical history.”

“…China and India do not actually produce 80% of all prescription drugs, but they dominate the supply of generic medications and the key ingredients used to produce them. The 80% figure likely refers to the share of Active Pharmacutical Ingredients (APIs), the raw chemical materials that give drugs their therapeutic effect.”
